The Alberta NDP in the inner-city riding of Calgary-Currie is seeking a motivated, creative, and energetic individual to assist with all activities related to voter outreach in anticipation of the October 2026 referendum and the Alberta general election in October 2027 (or sooner).
General Description and Duties
Under the supervision of the Organizing Team and the Alberta NDP candidate, Janet Eremenko, the VCR will conduct voter contact activities door to door, by phone and by text. The VCR will primarily supplement local volunteer activities to build and engage our volunteer base as well as participate in direct voter contact.
Qualifications
- Confident, assertive, and pleasant verbal communicator
- Willingness to spend many hours contacting voters
- Excellent listener and connector
- Proven experience keeping accurate and detailed records
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others
- Ability to adapt to changing work locations and priorities
- Willingness to work irregular hours in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work within a team as well as independently
- Prior NDP campaign experience is an asset
Terms and Conditions
This is a part time, temporary independent contractor position. Contractors will be paid at a rate of $22 per hour. Outreach schedules can be modified based on input from the successful applicant.
